THE Manila Electric Co. ( Meralco), through its renewable energy ( RE) arm, plans to build a floating solar project on Laguna Lake, according to an official.
In an interview on Tuesday, Meralco PowerGen Corp. ( MGen) President and Chief Executive Officer Rogelio Singson said his company was waiting for the go- signal of the Laguna Lake Development Authority to proceed with the project.
Once built, the project would have a 110- megawatt capacity and be connected to the Meralco grid. It will be developed by MGen Renewable Energy Inc. ( MGreen), which was established by MGen to push for the development of RE projects.
